Jonathan Van Fleet

Jonathan “apestyles” Van Fleet has been playing tournament poker professionally since 2003. He has crushed the highest stakes tournaments online, including the $25,000 buy-ins, since 2006. Along with being one of the most consistent winners online, Jon has co-written three books “Winning Poker Tournaments One Hand at a Time,” and coached thousands of students. He credits his success to his ability to stay flexible, have a play-to-study ratio of around 75/25, and have the opportunity to study poker with so many different elite players. With over $20 million in cashes, Jon has won numerous titles. In December of 2017, he had his biggest cash for $1,027,000 in the partypoker MILLIONS, adding to his collection of other titles. Jon won his first WSOP ring in 2019 by taking down the Super High Roller in Montreal. And he recently just missed out on the WSOP bracelet when he placed 3rd in the 53rd Annual WSOP Deep Stack Event for $138,000. While GTO and effective use of solvers are keys to Jon’s coaching style, exploitation and maximizing EV are the main goals.
